Marketing is often about making you believe you need something that you don’t. When I watch “Man Vs. Wild” all I can think about is how I need something great instead of getting something that sucks because its advertised as great. Case in point: My wife and I went to Kauai and on this massive hike. How do I know what gear to get for my feet or rest of the body for that matter? I don’t hike much, but when I do I want something that is going to handle some serious work. Something that is worth spending the money on.
So when you see someone like Bear Grylls you can only wonder what kind of clothes he relies on. Now there is a missed marketing opportunity!
So what kind of shoes and boots does he wear anyway?
