Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy and more companies got their Black Friday advertisements out early this year. Rather than waiting until we woke up Thursday morning they got smart and realized that these deals leak anyway–why not get out ahead of the leak.
It worked, people are talking about the deals. Amazon has been running specials all week. I know I’m already set to go out and hunt down a great deal on a laptop for my kids. If only companies like Best Buy would start to shift more of their products to the web rather than only emphasizing people standing out like zombies waiting to run each other over.
